What a property is
A property is a building, land plot, or other location you manage. It is the main place where clients, units, meters, funds, and invoices are grouped.
Good property records make filtering and reporting easier. Add the property name, address, image, and type clearly enough that your team can recognize it later.
When to add units
Add units for apartments, offices, parking spaces, rooms, or any separate rentable or managed space inside a property.
- Use units when different clients, owners, residents, or tenants are responsible for different parts of one property.
- Link meters to units when readings belong to one specific rentable or managed space.
- Use units in contracts or service agreements so invoices and communication point to the correct place.
Recommended setup
Create the property first, then add units before creating contracts. That gives each later record a clean structure to connect to.
